Your business should adapt to you - not the other way around

Your body, energy, values, and life aren't obstacles to overcome.

They're vital data points that shape your strategies.

Reader, if you take nothing else away from this email, please take that πŸ‘†

For 7+ years - each one feeling like a dog year - I've observed and experienced being told:

  • The right way to do something
  • The one method that promises to get you clients, 10x your income, make your business easier
  • The latest trend...courses, passive income, digital products, specific platforms, you name it

Many of these have one thing in common: they're built on the seller's frameworks. Not yours.

It might speak to your goals or desires.

It might work for you.

But, was it actually designed for you?

A business designed for you: works even on your bad days

To be clear: having a "bad" day (one where the fatigue is crushing you, or your brain is so foggy it takes you 4 days to write one email 🫣) is not a personal failure. Neither is having a body that can't alway meet your drive + ambition.

Frankly, I'm tired of viewing symptoms (conditions, whatever you've got going on) as constraints.

They are simply data points.

Your capacity is not a problem. It's information.

Information you can use to redesign any strategy, system, etc in your business so works for you vs something you have to push through.

If that's something you'd like help with, check out The Tune-Up 😊

  • You + Me
  • Fill out some info, then come to the call with the marketing or business thing that is sucking your will to live, or you just want to make easier

Reader, I spent years running my business on strategies and advice that came from smart people. Blaming myself when something didn't work, or feeling like a failure because I couldn't operate like so many people can.

I don't want that for you. So whether we work together or you adjust on your own, know that I'm here cheering you on!

My stance on affiliate links + promos

I do my best to follow all the correct rules etc when it comes to clearly communicating when something is an affiliate link or not. When I use an * that means I may earn a commission at no cost to you if you buy that product or service. If I don't include an * that means I'm just sharing something I think you may like.

In general, I only share things that I would stand behind. That's not just a throwaway sentence. It may be old school, but if I put my name behind something or someone, it's because I truly believe in it. This includes bundles and summits I join.

Hey, Reader! Full disclosure, I'm writing this after having some invasive dental work yesterday - translation, if something doesn't make sense, I blame the anesthesia still being in my system πŸ˜‰....and the fact that planning and batching my emails is clearly not a thing. Over a week ago, I made the decision that the monthly membership I was trialing, wasn't the right fit for me. Which sucks bc the person running it is fabulous. An actual joy of a human. However, what it doesn't make sense for...

Hey, Reader, I know you know this, but as I had to remind myself of this recently, I wanted to remind you. You can go viral, and not get a single client (or sale) Just like you can have a lot of: Followers Website visitors Discovery calls Downloads etc and not see the dial move in your business. The reason this happens is actually pretty simple It's that sometimes we (for sure me) can forget that the reason we're creating content, have a website, community, podcast, whatev - is to market our...

...is Context which might not be news to you. But more and more, I see people doing trainings and courses - paid and as lead magnets - without showing everything that contributed to their results. Because if the context of their situation is not the same as yours, then getting the same results might not be feasible or possible. and when we're searching for help, it's vitally important we know as much as we can, so we can make an informed decision. I'm by no means implying that not sharing...
